It’s available on multiple platforms, and it’s free (so you can use it at home too). It’s an application designed for note-taking and in some ways mimics a paper notebook.

So what is OneNote? It’s part of Microsoft Office, and therefore it’s supported here at NAU.

I’ll only have time to give you the basics, but if you’re interested in learning more, I’ll point you to some good sources, or you can catch up with me later. In this morning’s presentation, I’ll show you Microsoft OneNote, the notetaking application supported here at NAU. They make it easy for me to keep track of information in a variety of formats, from a variety of sources, and about a variety of topics.

You don’t need to be connected to the Internet to use Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, because the applications are fully installed on your computer.
