The other issue, is that if you pay attention to what he is saying you'll notice he he says the same thing at each GP. And by that I mean he will speak for 5 minutes without saying a damn thing. I've watched races where he hasn't participated and didn't even notice. He's great at getting info from the teams though and that's his job. He doesn't pretend to be a tech geek, he asks others for that. Fair amount is ok but even for brits it's over the top. Crofty, Johnny and rest of the crew are just cringe worthy and notoriously British driver biased. I like A Davidson, Brundle and Rachel Brooks (most measured of all).
